Romantic Walking Dates Around London

What can be more romantic than a leisurely stroll, spending some quality time alone with someone you’re getting to know? Throw in some scenery, a bit of history or a dash of culture, and a walking date ticks all the boxes. Here are some scenic walks around London that could be ideal for a walking date:

  • A stroll starting at the Tate Modern, progressing west along the south bank of the Thames as far as Royal Festival Hall then turning south to finish at the London Eye takes in views of the City of London, St Paul’s Cathedral, the South Bank Centre and stretches of river. If you want more views, a slow rotation on the London Eye is a great way to finish your jaunt.
  • A walk from Parliament Hill at Hampstead Heath, progressing southwards to Primrose Hill will give vistas of some very attractive parts of London, as well as some grittier bits. Stopping for a bite to eat at one of the venues along the way will sustain you on your journey, and the view from Primrose Hill at the end of your walk is breathtaking.
  • In south London, a walk from Blackheath Station to Greenwich Park takes in the great expanse of Blackheath and presents you at the end with a truly impressive view of London: the Royal Observatory, Queen’s House and the Naval College at Greenwich, Canary Wharf just across the river, the Millennium Dome and as far as the West End.

Not only can a walking date be romantic, you’ll both be rewarded by some of the finest views the capital has to offer.
