Men would date work colleagues, survey finds

A new survey has revealed that over half of men would take the risk of dating a woman that they worked with.

The 2011 Great Male Survey poll - from men's magazine Ask Men - found that 55 per cent of men would not hesitate to have a relationship with a work colleague, although 27 per cent would only do so if the woman was in a lower position within the firm than they were.

Those men not interested in an actual relationship but just in a casual arrangement with a work colleague was even higher – 56 per cent of male respondents to the survey reported that they would sleep with a woman that they worked with.

The 45 per cent of men that said they would not sleep with a work colleague blame the 'potential complications' that could arise as their reason or saying no.

The survey questioned 7,000 men across four countries – the UK, the US, Canada and Australia. Meanwhile, Cosmopolitan asked the same questioned to 13,000 women, and found that 45 per cent of them would be willing to sleep with a male work colleague.

A further five per cent reported that they had already done so.
