Reese's new romcom features 'dating disasters'

The Queen of the romcom has announced that her new movie, set to be released in the US next month, features a series of 'dating disasters.'

The actress, whose own love life has been beset by trauma after she divorced hubbie Ryan Phillippe amid allegations of his cheating, admits that her character goes on 'the most horrible date ever' in her new film.

The film, entitled 'How Do You Know,' stars Witherspoon as Lisa, a singleton trying to choose between Matty, played by Owen Wilson, and George, played by Paul Rudd.

“Lisa and Matty have been dating for a few weeks. George and Lisa meet and it turns out to be the most horrible date ever,” laughs Witherspoon.

The 'Legally Blonde' actress, 34, has said that her new film is based on someone starting a new relationship, only to be thrown off course and confused when another love interest comes along.

Lisa is at a crossroads in her life and her choice of man will determine which path her future takes.

“You're looking at people that are at points in their lives that could go any way,” Witherspoon added.
